In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for capturing stunning item photographs, meticulously cataloguing items, providing exceptional customer service, conducting item research, and ensuring the smooth functioning of auctions.

Responsibilities:
Photography:
Utilize your expertise to capture compelling and high-quality images of auction items using an iPhone or other designated equipment.
Showcase items in their best light by paying attention to lighting, angles, and presentation.
Cataloguing:
Demonstrate precision and accuracy by maintaining detailed records of auction items.
Assign item numbers, provide comprehensive descriptions, note dimensions and condition assessments, and record any other pertinent information.
Customer Service:
Interact with potential buyers, bidders, and consignors in a professional and friendly manner.
Address inquiries, provide information, and ensure that our customers receive exceptional service.
Educate customers on the auction process, bidding procedures, and item details.
Item Description and Research:
Show your expertise by conducting thorough research on auction items.
Gather information on origin, history, provenance, and other relevant details.
Craft engaging and informative item descriptions that enhance their appeal and attract potential buyers.
Auction Support:
Collaborate with colleagues to set up auction displays, arrange items for viewing, and ensure proper item placement.
Assist in the smooth operation of auctions by providing bidding assistance and addressing any technical issues that arise.
Physical Requirements:
Be physically capable of lifting and moving items weighing at least 25 pounds.
This may involve tasks such as packing, unpacking, and arranging items for photography or display purposes.
Tech Savviness:
Utilize your proficiency with an iPhone or similar mobile devices.
Familiarize yourself with photography apps, editing tools, and organizational apps/software to efficiently carry out your responsibilities.
Site Flexibility:
Embrace the opportunity to work at various job sites, including auction houses, warehouses, and off-site auction locations.
Reliable transportation is essential for commuting between different locations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 1 year of prior customer service experience is preferred, demonstrating your ability to engage with customers effectively and provide exceptional service.
Prior experience in photography, cataloguing, or a related field will be advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions.
